Local Civil Air Patrol members visit DC

In February, local members of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) from Franklin and other squadrons participated in National Legislative Day in Washington, D.C. Pictured from left to right are 1st Lt. Diana Hillyard, Cadet 1st Lt. Myki Kriley, Cadet 2nd Lt. Navy Perry, Cadet Chief Master Sgt. Luke Pentz, U.S. Congressman Glenn Thompson, Cadet Col. Cory Matejovich, Cadet Lt. Col. Ellabay Perry, and 1st Lt. Matthew Hillyard. Cadets were selected from an interview process to travel to the capital for three days. The group spent the day meeting with members of Congress to educate them on the benefits of CAP and how it has impacted them personally.
