1. Which dictionary or conjugator do you want to use in your shortcut?
   Select your dictionary:

2. Right-click the URL bar and choose ""Manage search engines...""
   *Mac users should Ctrl-click if they cannot right-click.
3. At the top of the ""Other search engines"" section, click ""Add."" A dialog box will open. Fill in the options as follows:

   • Search engine: type a descriptive name for your search, e.g., WR English definition.
   • Keyword: type wr (or enen for English definitions).
     If you set up shortcuts for multiple dictionaries, remember that each one needs a unique keyword.
   • URL with %s in place of query: www.wordreference.com/redirect/translation.aspx?w=%s&dict=enen
     Copy and paste your customized shortcut URL into the dialog box.
     
4. Click ""Add"" to finish. Then close the Settings tab.

Using your new shortcut:

Click in the URL bar and type your keyword from step 3, followed by the term or phrase you want to look up. Press Enter to launch your search in the corresponding dictionary or conjugator.

To delete a search shortcut, repeat step 1 to open your search engine settings. Click the three dots at the end of the line for the dictionary shortcut that you want to delete. Select ""Remove from list"" in the menu.

Note: if you click the customized shortcut URL in step 3, you will see a dictionary page with no results for ""%s."" Your customized shortcut link is not meant to be clicked; it only serves to let you create a new search shortcut. Copy and paste it into the ""other search engines"" dialog box as described in the instructions.
