Gary and Marissa McFarland Started “Beast Boutique” in 2002 after acquiring their first Mastiff, Sherman “The Tank” Niles, CGC, III. He was something else, a true character that became the heart and inspiration of “Beast Boutique”.

Beast Boutique is a state-certified, all breed dog and cat grooming salon where clients’ pet’s comfort and happiness comes first.

Located at 103 Jefferson St. in Oil City. “We are a small salon that is bright, open and airy! There are plenty of windows and lots of sunshine to shine thru,” Marissa explained. “We have been providing spa treatments to the finest pooches and kitties since 2002! Also including hamsters, rabbits, ferrets and bird beaks.” She added that it is always fun when exotic animals come in for nail trimming or a bird whose beak needs to be dremeled.

Marissa offer’s expert grooming services, combining gentle techniques, personalized care and a “one-on-one” environment to ensure each pet’s visit is enjoyable.

Attention to detail and 23 years of grooming will leave each pet looking great and feeling better. Beast Boutique specializes in everything from breed standard grooming to custom pet trims that show a dog’s unique personality!

Spa treatments with luxurious shampoo and conditioners leaves pets with a clean, soft finish on even the dirtiest coats.

They also have grooming equipment to assist the senior pets for their comfort while being groomed. “Their comfort is top priority and they are groomed for ‘cleanliness and comfort’ styles that will not add to their stress,” Marissa said.

Marissa enjoys all breeds for grooming, from extra small to extra large, but for some reason, she especially enjoys grooming standard poodles, doodles and Newfoundlands.

As a professional stylist, Marissa likes to go above and beyond by combining skill, traveling for ongoing education and a huge passion for the industry.

Marissa is an Evaluator the American Kennel Club “Canine Good Citizen” testing, S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification, Community Canine, Urban Canine, temperament testing and more. The McFarland’s are members of the Mastiff Club of American and the Northeast Ohio Mastiff Picnic.
