The new year of 2025 will mark the 40th year in business for Gustafson General Contracting serving the local area with construction, renovations and related services. Founded in May of 1985 by owner Ron Gustafson, from part-time evening and weekend work to a full-time occupation, he and his team take pride in the longevity of the business and the solid reputation for delivering projects to their clients on time and on budget.
Gustafson General Contracting specializes in commercial construction and renovations, historical restorations, along with some service work for long term clients and new customers as availability permits. Ron has also served as a member of Oil City Council for the past 13 years, member of the Venango Chamber of Commerce for most of the past 40 years, along with a membership in the Oil Region Alliance. He has been committed to the future of the area for many years.
Going forward, Gustafson General Contracting looks ahead to transitioning the business to long term employees who are quite capable of continuing the excellent service and reputation of the firm. They would like to thank the countless clients they have served over the past nearly 40 years, along with the many employees who were a critical part of the team.
In addition, Gustafson General Contracting also operates a side service and restoration operation known as RC Gustafson Carpenter and Builder with a Facebook page of the same name showing examples of that type of work. Ron will continue to work on those types of projects in the future and is available for consultations advising owners and interested parties on strategies for preserving and restoring valuable pieces of our local history.
