Franklin city council took care of several matters of routine business during its meeting Monday, including Memorial Day festivities, which will not include a parade this year.
The Memorial Day events scheduled for May 26 will take place on the 13th Street Bridge and in Bandstand Park, organized this year by the VETS Honor Guard, who alternates the organization each year with the Franklin VFW.
