Pressure/Soft Wash by Mark Baughman had a successful eighth year of business in 2024, seeing a growth of customers in the nine counties — Clarion, Forest, Warren, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Mercer, Lawrence, and Allegheny — that surround the business’s home county of Venango, which also saw growth.
Commercial accounts are on the rise and contracts are in place for 2025. The number of return customers seeking to keep their homes and businesses clean are what this business is based on. Landlords, realtors and housing managers use their services, and housing complexes, schools, churches, businesses and restaurants have been very loyal customers. Wash by Mark also coordinates services with local contractors looking to do post-work cleaning when they are wanting the finishing touches on a restoration. With the help of Mark’s grandson, Ryder Mitchell, and son-in-law, Jake Faunce, no job is too big. A few of the larger jobs completed in 2024 were the cleaning of the Oak Hill Apartments, Anchor apartment building in Titusville and Central Elementary in Franklin. Often, man lifts are used in the cleaning process.
Another rise in customer requests was the need for asphalt shingle roof cleaning. Black algae, moss, lichen, mold and debris such as leaves and tree branches can be safely removed without damaging the roof. A soft wash process is used and specialized chemicals are applied to the roof, essentially stopping the spread of this organic growth. The organics die and slowly are removed from the roof by the wind and rain.
2025 is already starting to fill up the calendar. A new wash trailer was acquired which will allow for more water to be brought to the job site. This brings the total number of wash trailers owned by Wash by Mark to three. The equipment that they use exceeds industry standards and provides a professional finish.

• Interior and exterior gutter cleaning and debris removal
• Roof cleaning, concentrated on the safe removal of moss, algae, lichens and debris from roof surfaces
